Playing around w/ projects (& forms of protest)
Week 21 (Mar 21–27, 2026)

This week, I have been playing with projects…and with forms of protest.
There are different ways to protest. We can resist the systems that damage and destroy. We can also protest by creating new pathways, ones people can lean on as toxic systems begin to collapse. This kind of protest recognizes that true change doesn’t come from making current structures more inclusive; it comes from building something entirely new.
Because the truth is, the current model was built to protect and promote the wealthy, the male, the white, the educated, the ‘documented,’ the gender-conforming, the heteronormative. I don’t want broader inclusion within harmful systems—I want different systems altogether. Many of us do. This is what liberation looks like.
‘Freedom’ may come from policy change. Liberation comes from transformed communities; people and places operating in entirely new ways.
